ABOUT US

  1. Our mission

Improving the situation of the patient and the healthcare professional

We are here to actively contribute to improving working conditions for (future) healthcare professionals and ultimately for patients.

  2. Why are we doing this?

What do we see as the problem?

The situation in the health care system in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is not rosy. There is a shortage of doctors, nurses and other medical staff. With the increasing life expectation, the number of people in need of health care is also increasing.

The problem is most pronounced in smaller hospitals, in smaller towns that are not adequately staffed with talented medical professionals.

Finding a good internship or job that will advance you in the field isn't easy, and there's no one place to turn to in your search.

    Did you know?

    • Approximately 1,000 doctors, 3,000 nurses missing in the Czech Republic
    • 30% of practitioners and 40% of child practitioners are of retirement age
    • 11.2% of young medical graduates in 2020 went to work abroad or outside the field
    • In order to maintain the current number of nurses in the Czech healthcare system, the number of students in this field would have to more than double
  3. How do we want to solve it?

We are bringing transparency to the healthcare sector, making it more attractive.

We want to make it easier for students to access quality internships and apprenticeships where they learn something useful and get paid adequately.

We want to help doctors, nurses and all healthcare professionals by improving working conditions so that they can work more comfortably and more young talent can be attracted to the healthcare sector.

I have been close to the medical environment since I was a child, as my mother is a doctor. She has worked in the same hospital all her life, often in difficult working conditions, staying at work too long and having night shifts every week. This has always frustrated me and I wondered how the situation could be improved. I think it is time for doctors, nurses and other health care workers to have a better understanding of their options. We need to bring more transparency into the health sector so that the people on whom our health depends are the ones who benefit. That is why we are here.

I have always taken great joy in connecting people to their passion and mission. It's not just about connecting candidates, it's about enabling everyone to find their path. Healthcare is not an easy field and the paths are often already predefined. Sometimes it's about who makes better use of their network of contacts and sometimes it's about luck. That's why we've decided to do everything we can to make sure that everyone gets the same chance and that the healthcare sector is there for everyone who takes that route. Our goal is to create a better and more enjoyable place for career growth. And it doesn't matter if you are starting out in college or are already a professional in the field.
